Spesa Casa privacy policy

This policy explains what data the Spesa Casa Android app and this website process, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

In short

1. Data you enter in the app

Everything you write in Spesa Casa (expenses, categories, income, savings, fixed costs, calendar events, shopping list, settings and any lock password) is stored only in the device's memory. It is not sent to the controller or to third parties. The lock password is stored hashed and only protects opening the app on that phone.

The backup is a text you generate yourself and that stays under your control: you decide where to copy it. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, the information is deleted from the phone.

2. Advertising (free version)

The free version shows ads provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) through AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may process: the device advertising ID, IP address, device and operating-system information, approximate location derived from the IP, and ad interactions.

Legal basis: your consent, collected at first launch with Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform). You can choose personalised or non-personalised ads and change your choice at any time in Settings → Ads → Privacy preferences. You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in Android settings.

Google processes this data as an independent controller under its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses information from partner apps. Some data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, which participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

With a subscription, ads are switched off and the ad SDK does not load ads.

3. Purchases and subscriptions

Payments, renewals and cancellations go through Google Play under Google's terms and privacy policy. The app only receives the subscription status (active or not) from Google Play in order to remove ads. The controller never receives your card number or other payment data, only aggregated sales reports from Google for tax purposes.

4. Notifications

Due-date alerts are local notifications scheduled on the phone itself. They do not go through external servers. You can turn them off in the app or in Android settings.

5. This website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, or fonts or scripts loaded from other sites. The site, available at https://spesacasa-app.com, is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (United States), which may log IP addresses and request data for security and technical operation, kept for the period set by the provider. This data may therefore be processed in the United States.

6. Contacting the controller

If you write to spesacasa.applicazione@gmail.com, we use your email address and message only to reply (legal basis: your request). Messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and no longer than 24 months.

7. Children

The app is not directed at children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and object to processing at any time (GDPR Articles 15–22), and withdraw consent without affecting processing already carried out. For the data you enter in the app, which stays on your phone, you can exercise these rights directly: edit it, export the backup, or delete it by uninstalling the app. For anything else, write to spesacasa.applicazione@gmail.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali: www.garanteprivacy.it, or with the authority in your EU country.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with the new date at the top.
